- Image 2 - Protection for the lounge whilst we cut into the walls
- Image 3 - We've bonded the walls - just need a decorator now. You could get a plasterer in, but these walls, whilst not great to look at, does mean the walls are at least sealed
- Image 4 - Laser line to ensure its all level. Nothing worse than a wonky socket
- Image 5 - This is a sub main wired in for a garage. Wireless lighting control was used - because its easier
- Image 6 - Lids on, labels fitted - Job done
- Image 7 - We needed to repair some of the floor here. The boards were in bad shape

- Image 20 - New RCBO board in, tested, labelled, sorted!
- Image 21 - Keeping it neat for the next guy! - You're welcome :)
- Image 22 - Wireless switches - labelled for user ease
- Image 23 - Part of a 2-way switching. Keeping it easy
- Image 24 - ECS gold card. Ben Grant makes the grade
- Image 25 - 2nd fix to MK double socket outlet. Not the cheapest, but the most reliable in the price range by far.
- Image 26 - The MK FCU is a really good accessory. The terminals are very reliable and lined up making cable sweeping very easy.
- Image 27 - This picture was taken during a callout. It may not be clear from the photo, but the middle circuit has suffered serious heat damage due to a loose connection
- Image 28 - This little hole I made exposed the conduit in the wall supplying a socket below. Accessing meant that I could run an additional cable down to the lights for the cabinet without having to cut open the wall.
- Image 29 - Here, an additional cable has been ran through the existing conduit from the loft to supply the under cabinet lights. The hole cannot be seen from a standing point, so it has meant there is no need for invasive repair works to the wall
- Image 30 - The customer had asked for a board change. The practical problems around swapping out this switchgear is age. The units here feed wiring that is 60+ years old. Many additions have been carried out in that time.
- Image 31 - All the old switchgear has been taken away and the cables brought into 1 unit. This allowed for a full system test and inspection to be carried out. This work hasn't finished, but we now have clarity as to the condition of the old wiring.
- Image 32 - This is the main unit of a large home with 2 units. Part of a TT earth supply (power comes in off a pole), an RCD main switch was fitted. So that this RCD wouldn't trip, multiple RCD devices were installed, and this has meant the power interruptions have stopped.
- Image 33 - First fix to a kitchen completed. Ready for the kitchen fitter and the tiler. Customer was happy that the channels were filled in before we left; meaning no need to hire a plasterer.
- Image 34 - Fusebox are a popular brand. This board has allowed quick testing and inspection to the wiring to clear faults and bring the installation up to code.
- Image 35 - Tiles completed on this kitchen job. Just wiring up the hob in this picture.
- Image 36 - There are 3 elements here: The light, the sensor, and the connection. If the light fails its easy to swap out. The same is true of the sensor. This way, repair costs are actually lower because the system is so much more reliable due to better quality, individual components.
- Image 37 - Quick TV install. Single socket was installed behind this TV to supply power. Super flat bracket supplied and fitted.
- Image 38 - There are two types of cable being used here. The armour cable is too heavy for a plastic outdoor socket, so a outside connection unit allows for the cable to be joined, and a suitable cable installed to go into the socket. This massively increases the systems life expectancy.
- Image 39 - Mounting a socket outlet in the flower bed: the use of postcrete to fix the unistrut supporting the socket outlet meant it will stand for many years of use.
- Image 40 - Fully waterproof socket outlet to supply a pond pump. This socket outlet is fed via a timer in an outdoor connection box around 2 meters away
- Image 41 - Socket outlet with the lid down. Fully waterproof and ready to use any time of the year.
- Image 42 - The SYNC EV from BG used in this installation for a new Nissan EV. Pairing was straightforward and would use these BG chargers again.
- Image 43 - RCBO's bring together RCD's and MCB's. They cost a little more, but there are some major benefits to be had. Wiring is tidy making inspection easy.
- Image 44 - Fitted an emergency light here as the power was constantly going off. The emergency light meant the customer could see the fusebox when the lights went off.
- Image 45 - This Fusebox was installed to replace the 1980's unit. The customer required an update due to power problems and the need to supply a new vehicle charger.
- Image 46 - Found this whilst testing electrics during a consumer unit upgrade - The cables has shorted some time ago and had created a fault - super happy to have found this so quickly - got it repaired, and the power back on
- Image 47 - Just a hint of a cable that has been chewed by rats. The extent of the damage was enormous - the entire back of house had been damaged and needed rewiring.
- Image 48 - Flat roof - Can't lift the floors - only option is to cut holes in the ceiling. Rodents has chewed their way through cabling so we needed to rip it out and run new wires
- Image 49 - New bathroom light installed following major rodent damage. The lights had been out for months - homeowner is so grateful to be seeing in the bathroom again
- Image 50 - Old with older style halogens and in with newer, more efficient LED fixtures
- Image 51 - A very cost conscious board this. Strange layout and can make identifying circuits tricky.
- Image 52 - BG inside the consumer unit. They get a bad press amongst the pro's, but really, they are built pretty well
- Image 53 - This consumer unit change required some carpentry work. Demo work mostly, but the customer will need to fabricate something as the new board is smaller than the last
- Image 54 - Labelled these up with some stickers, but some board don't always have all the stickers you need - so need to use a fine point sharpie instead
- Image 55 - Inside the BG RCBO and SPD board. Mini type RCBO's make fitting them a doodle. Fair boards
- Image 56 - These are sensor controlled to light up the side of this bungalow to get the homeowner down the drive to the front door without needing a torch!
- Image 57 - Installing a flood light to light up a driveway where the road has no street lighting close by
- Image 58 - FuseBox RCBO's are Surge Protective Device. Good board, came out well this one
- Image 59 - FuseBox change over to a sub main ready for EV charging station. Part of a overhaul to the homes electrical distribution
- Image 60 - Installed the SYNC EV from BG. Great charger, super easy to set up
- Image 61 - Based in Thorpe St Andrew
- Image 62 - This is an inline fan. Difficult to fit in this loft. Its high power output will mean there should be no trouble with condensed air
- Image 63 - We installed cable tray to support all the power and data in this large scale log cabin in the grounds of a country cottage
- Image 64 - Here we have the walls of this log cabin unit still open as we finish running all the wires in
- Image 65 - We partially rewired this home. Here we have some close cut chasing which will need minimal repairs.
- Image 66 - We often use bonding to fill the chases in once we have ran our cabling
- Image 67 - We supplied Crabtree sockets here to match the existing Crabtree accessories
- Image 68 - Testing the system to ensure it is safe and wired correctly
- Image 69 - This run of steel trunking was installed the 10m vertical height of this windmill rewire near Wyndham
- Image 70 - Here we are running in 20mm PVC conduit to our main trunking to supply power and lights in singles.
- Image 71 - Couldn't run these straight... The walls lean into the room as the building in conical. Going round this doorway was particularly interesting.
- Image 72 - We needed a small length of trunking to go between these two angles as the offset was about 10mm longer than the angles.
- Image 73 - Wiring in for socket outlets here in a windmill rewire. We're about half way through here.
- Image 74 - Use of conduit was needed as the floors couldn't be lifted
- Image 75 - Commercial wiring here in a Windmill. Part of a new wiring system
- Image 76 - A wiring centre that is still being added to in the loft. This is running 6 banks of lights with room for more equipment
- Image 77 - We have installed these plastic accessory boxes to accommodate the wireless switching packs for the lighting in the building
- Image 78 - The sticky pads that come with these switches allow for them to be fixed to glass
- Image 79 - These are our wireless switches. Here, we have used the sticky back pads on the glass for the outside light.
- Image 80 - Mid way through wiring in some additional sockets
- Image 81 - Additional socket outlets in a kitchen. This was a very economical way to add alot of sockets
- Image 82 - The customer needed a light for the bins, this is functional and stylish. The bricks were preserved
- Image 83 - We installed two of these pendants to brighten up the hallway
- Image 84 - These fixtures have just been installed. The cables will straighten out over time
- Image 85 - These lamps are a fillament look which add comfort to the lamp
- Image 86 - Modern pendant but with a vintage feel and lamp
- Image 87 - This is one of our wireless switches - Installed with no damage to the wall paper
- Image 88 - This is an 'in-progress' from a kitchen installation. The wiring was 40 years old, so we removed it all, and installed new circuits for all the equipment. The kitchen looks great now.
- Image 89 - The customer had this Lutron 4 channel lighting controller. We adjusted the dimming settings to reflect their routine and assigned scene control for each of them
- Image 90 - This is the wall before we mounted the customers TV. Their reason for mounting was because of young toddlers running around. Plus, they wanted to free up space on the cabinets surface.
- Image 91 - Simple TV mount. As the cabling was too short, we needed to order up longer leads for the HDMI and the power supply. This way, were able to get around the need for invasive channelling in the walls and install discreet trunking systems.
- Image 92 - These are a series of LED tape lights that have been installed to the underside of the stair nosing. In this picture, its now ready for the painter to finish the staircase in a Navy blue.

"We had a wiring fault causing the RCD on our consumer unit to trip, knocking out the circuit in our kitchen. Ben came out same day, identified the cause of the fault and whilst doing so explained what he was doing and what caused the issue. He also disconnected the integrated fridge and freezer we need to remove whilst on the visit! Absolutely great service, friendly, professional, and excellent at describing his process. Cannot recommend highly enough!"
Trader reply: "So great to read this David, and thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I'm glad you both enjoyed the process and had such a positive experience. You know where I am when you need"
