Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors

You know that traders listed in our directory are trustworthy, but we also encourage our registered traders to gain membership with other professional bodies, such as the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC).

The APHC was established in 1925 and today its members include large heating and plumbing firms as well as small, independent contractors. With an emphasis on safe and complaint plumbing, association with the APHC marks professional plumbers out from rogue traders and promotes excellent standards of service and workmanship.

The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors identifies best practice in the industry and works closely with organisations including training bodies, Local Authorities and the Government to promote these practices and to ensure fair representation of professional plumbing and heating contractors.

Both consumers and traders benefit from the services provided by the APHC; consumers gain additional peace of mind that their plumber or heating specialist meet high standards of service and tradespeople know that they are represented by a professional body. This is why we encourage all relevant tradespeople listed on Trust a Trader to become affiliated with the APHC.
