"Terribly disappointed about this company. Just a few months after installing hardwood in two bedrooms we have had to pay to re-do the flooring to correct the levelling between the rooms and the landing as they were different, therefore impossible to connect at the same level! They knew that the floor needed to be at the same level! and remove the rubber that - despite of what was promised, did not reduce the acoustic and was causing humidity under the floor. We had to pay for removing and re-installing the floor PLUS we had to buy more hardwood as the previous floor was broke in the removal process. A horrible experience. I would not recommend."

Trader reply: "We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and would like to address the concerns you have raised. When we were first engaged to level the joists in one room, the standard -and agreed with you- practice required us to take the highest point of the joists in that room and level the rest of the floor to match. This ensures an even surface within the room itself. A few days later, you expressed interest in leveling the joists in the adjacent room. Unfortunately, the highest point of the joists in that room was higher than those in the first room we completed. As a result, the floors ended up at different levels—a result that was discussed with and accepted by you at the time. Achieving the same height across both rooms would have required simultaneous access and leveling of both spaces, which was not part of the agreed scope of work at the time. It is therefore unfair to hold us responsible for this difference, as it could not have been prevented unless both rooms were done together from the outset. At that stage, you expressed satisfaction with the work completed, but it seems that a later visit from another party influenced your perspective. It is disappointing that this has led to complaints against us, despite the agreed scope of work being completed to your satisfaction at the time. Regarding the rubber layer, it was installed to reduce impact sound transmission between floors as agreed upon the project. Please note that this was not installed to reduce sounds from outside of the building. If the combination of the rubber mat and adhesive also acted as a moisture barrier, this was an additional benefit to the floor's durability and not a shortcoming in the workmanship. Proper subfloor ventilation is critical for maintaining the health of a suspended wooden floor, but this must be achieved through sufficient airflow beneath the structure and not by removing essential sound insulation layers. Unfortunately, we were not given any opportunity at any point to review or address the issues you described. Instead, the newly installed floor was removed without any prior communication with us, and we only became aware of the complaints after the replacement work had already been completed by another contractor. This approach prevented us from verifying the validity of the claims or offering any solutions. We are deeply committed to providing quality service and addressing concerns promptly, as we have done for so many satisfied clients.
