Service & Sales is a family run, domestic appliance repair company based in Bedfordshire with over thirty five years experience in repairing and refurbishing domestic appliances.
People often throw away and replace their domestic appliances because fixing them does not make economic sense. Replacing the broken item seems to be quicker, cheaper and easier than getting it fixed. Our domestic appliance repair specialists have the skills and tools to fix a full range of domestic appliances.
We understand that people rely heavily on their domestic appliances; a broken washing machine, freezer or fridge can cause huge inconvenience. We do our best to get to our clients as quickly as possible and wherever possible our technicians will repair your appliance there and then. "Oven heating element failed. We rang them day before and they said engineer, Andrew would be there late morning/early afternoon. Good to there word he rang midday and said he would be there in c. 20 minutes. He was. He confirmed the failed element and fortunately had a replacement element on the van. With all the right tools to hand he first had to completely take out the fitted oven to access the faulty part. Having changed it he put everything back in place, tested it was working and even adjusted the clock to the right time before finishing. We're delighted with how smooth an operation it was and would have no hesitation in using them again, if needed."

Adam Brett - Image 1 "If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an engineer come and fix my washing machine. Which he did. The washing machine is now working. But I came home and opened my kitchen door which overlaps the washing machine and it’s came off its hinges. The engineer has clearly either lent on the door and when putting the door back on, has broken it. They told me the photos show it being okay when he left. But what he’s done is wedge the bracket back on and close the door, so it’s looks fine. But when I’ve gone to open it. It’s just came off its hinges. I’ve called the office 3 times and they are not willing to do anything. I’ve been quoted £50 to fix this. Yes, it may be a lot of money but to pay out for something that was done by someone else, has left me disgruntled! Due to my experience, I would not recommend"
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback. We truly value all customer comments, as providing excellent service is our top priority. Our engineers attended the property to fit parts that had been ordered during a previous visit. Upon arrival and after beginning the work, the customer advised the engineer that he needed to leave the property and requested that the door be closed once the repair was complete. To carry out the repair, the décor door was removed to allow the appliance to be pulled out safely. Once the work was finished, the door was refitted and secured. The appliance was left in full working order. The engineer has confirmed that the décor door was correctly reinstalled and secure at the time of departure, and we also have a completion photograph showing the appliance in place. A few days later, the customer contacted us to report that the décor door had been damaged and requested compensation. I advised that I would investigate the matter directly with the engineer. The engineer involved has worked with us for over 30 years, maintains an excellent record, and has always promptly reported any accidental damage. In the rare event that damage does occur during a repair, we address it immediately and are fully insured to resolve such matters."

"First visit was to identify the problem and fit the new heating element, went perfectly smoothly! However the oven needed a new seal which had to be ordered. A day later they called to say its ready, and to arrange to come and fit it. We said tomorrow, but i STRESSED a PM appointment, which they agreed to, as i work nights. However, at 08:50am the next day I was awoken by a phone call saying they'd be here in 10 minutes! That is NOT a pm appointment! The engineer showed me his job manifest, with nothing mentioned at all in the special instructions. So, while the work was carried out very fast and accurately, the admin side leaves a lot to be desired! =/"
