I am Richard Burke - Local Handyman, a family man from Ilkeston. Having been a Civil Engineer for 12 years, I grew tired of red tape policies surrounding the building site work. I have been in and out of the building trade all my working life and have always done my own renovations and helped friends and family do theirs, from bathrooms to patios and most things in between.
I have experience of working on schools, supermarkets, housing, town halls, colleges, doctors’ surgeries, industrial and retail units, as well as heritage work. Always on time and at a very reasonable price. I am happy to take on most handyman services to people throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

"I feel really blessed to have found Richard through Trust a Trader. He really is a Godsend in every way. He's very knowledgeable, willing, easy going and trustworthy. His workmanship is excellent. He's well equipped with the right tools and materials to carry out a first class job. Richard fitted a curtain pole and a roman blind mechanism for me. He also did a few little filling jobs on my wall and skirting boards. Richard works efficiently and is keen to keep within his hourly quote which is extremely good value for money for someone with such experience and skill. I highly recommend Richard as a handyman. He is a devoted family man who is available on weekdays up to 6pm The best way to contact him is by text message. I'm absolutely thrilled and will be passing his number on to all the people i know who will value his workmanship and as an honest reliable pleasant soul."

"Richard did three jobs - putting a handle in the loft, fixing the gate latch and adjusting the kitchen drainage. For each job he was patient and thorough and didn't move on until he had ensured that his work had been effective. Other people have looked at the drains and thought there was no cure for the constant blocking. Richard dealt with three deficiencies until the water flowed freely. He didn't give up!"

"I have used Richard on more than one occasion and he is a hard worker. He will offer suggestions if the customer isn't sure what they want. I have already passed on his details to several people and know that they have used him. He will always be the first tradesman I contact for any future work I need doing."
