Flooring gets a hard time – it literally gets walked all over. At RB Floorlays we are experienced in all types of floor installation, helping your floor to stand up to even the toughest conditions.
Flooring needs to be appropriate for its room and use: businesses often need heavier duty flooring to withstand high levels of footfall; kitchens and bathrooms need water-resistant flooring and family homes need flooring that is a little more sympathetic towards tiny, grubby footprints.
We have over 30 years’ experience in fitting many types of flooring, from carpets to vinyl to wood. For the last 15 years we have focused mainly on LVT Amtico, Karndean ans Nordikka. Sub floor preparation is of the utmost importance when even contemplating laying these types of flooring. Floors are accessed then given the correct preparation; dampness is always tested before proceeding as a general rule. We pride ourselves on the finest details, the work is intricate and requires enough time in producing the finish. The end result are floors that are down for many years to come with no if any maintenance required.
Our floor fitters know which floors are best suited to different areas and are on hand to help you to get the balance between functionality, durability and aesthetics. Each of RB Floorlays fitters are qualified and experienced in floor installation and we encourage continual professional development to maintain the high standards of which we are so proud.
Our floor fitters offer a full range of floor installation and repair services including:-
- Floor Sanding
- Tile Flooring
- Floor Levelling
- Hardwood Flooring
- Laminate Flooring
- Parquet Flooring

- Image 122 - First coat of self level compound put down to just cover the pipes and keep everything in place, this first application is just to secure everything in place,it's never good enough to lay a floor on top,the next coat will normally be good but may still require feather finish.

"Rob and his wife were fantastic; so lovely and helpful on the phone from my initial enquiry and throughout the work being done. They gave lots of options for the work involved and discussed prices and quality of materials. The bathroom has been transformed with his advice and quality of work. I could not recommend him more highly."

"Rob has been a breath of fresh air in what has been a whirlwind of a house renovation. Right from the start he has stuck to his word. He answered my call promptly, turned up to give a quote swiftly, and was very punctual. He is trustworthy, reliable and a generally down to earth gentleman. Not only did he complete the job earlier than anticipated, but the level of detail and precision in his work has been amazing and he very kindly went above and beyond for us. He was clean, methodical, and gave great care advice to ensure our LVT lasts a long time. The quality of his work speaks for itself, he clearly takes pride in what he does, and quite rightly so. His friendly and helpful nature makes him a very pleasant tradesman to have around. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rob to my family and friends, I feel genuinely lucky to have stumbled upon him online. Thank you Rob, it was so lovely to meet you. If you are ever in the area, you are more than welcome to pop over for a proper cuppa!"
