Based in Manchester, M Quinn Builders Damp Cure has over 30 years’ experience in damp proofing. I have evolved with changing technology to provide outstanding services to treat wet rot, dry rot and damp in your home or business premises.
I have worked with building societies, banks and estate agents doing damp reports, wall tie reports, timber reports, structural reports; in fact, all retention works that building societies and bank require for prospective buyers of properties. I supply guarantees for works which are required for sales of properties to go through.
I pride myself on my efficient, friendly and high-quality service. I take the time to visit each client, talk through their damp issues and concerns and advise on ways to reduce damp (e.g. the introduction of dehumidifiers). In the case of structural intervention, I will talk through the options available. I understand clients’ reservations about having damp treatment and do my best to explain the problem and the choice of solutions without compromising on quality or service.
Damp proofing isn’t always straight forward. I will diagnose the source of the damp and provide you with a report on recommended measures to treat it.

Scott - Image 1 "Sue was honestly brilliant from start to finish. Constant updates, clear plan, and loads of photos, so I always knew exactly what was going on without having to chase. Mark was absolutely phenomenal! He explained everything properly, took the time to talk me through what he was doing and why, and he was super proactive the whole way through. He even came earlier than expected, which was perfect because the house was empty and we’re trying to move into our first home ASAP, so it genuinely helped us move in sooner. What I really appreciated is they spotted a few extra bits that weren’t flagged at the start, got them sorted, then showed me photos before, during, and after. That level of care is rare. I’m genuinely buzzing with how it all went! The workmanship was spot on, communication was spot on, and the whole experience was just stress free. Couldn’t be happier, couldn’t recommend them enough, and I’ll 100% be using them again on future renovations."

"We had damp that had occurred in a rented property. We contacted M Quinn Builders and they sorted it out from start to finish. They were in constant contact with myself and my tenants which made it stress free for everyone. The job that they have done is excellent and to a very high standard. "They still get 5* for punctuality even after being late due to a puncture because they called in another van to ensure they could complete the work in the allotted time. They had to go into my neighbours' yard to access my outer wall & he was impressed by well they put everything back & tidied up. They asked to clear a shelf in a kitchen cupboard so they fit the vent brick & assured me that was all I needed to do - they then washed the things on the bottom shelf because they got a bit dusty. I would recommended these guys to everyone. They are quick, tidy, polite and value for money."
