My name is John Dean of Leylan Pointing Services. I am a pointing brickwork and stonework specialist with over 22 years' experience in the trade.

Based in Heywood Greater Manchester I carry out work on large or small residential and commercial projects. No job is too big or small and being a sole trader I can keep customer costs down to a minimum.

I am experienced in traditional stonework pointing using lime mortar. The use of lime mortar in traditional stonework allows me to use a material that is both porous and softer compared with mortars that feature cement in colours such as red, black, buff and white.

I undertake a full range of bricklaying and masonry jobs of all sizes, including:

    "From start to finish John has been great. Responsive, reliable, courteous and professional. Arrived at 8am on a Sunday as it was the first dry day in ages suitable for pointing the chimney. His workmate, an experienced roofer, saw the slipped slate and fixed it - they weren't leaving us with a leak. Grafted from arriving til job done and through fog too. Photos afterwards and everywhere cleaned down."

    "John quoted within a day of receiving my job request and the job was done soon after . Repointing of interior of garage , work was completed as requested . Polite workmen and cleaned up after job. Very happy and would recommend the company. I am using them again for some other pointing work I need done ."
