"I had a terrible experience with this roofer. They initially quoted £600 for some sealing work but offered to do it for £500 if I paid cash, which felt dodgy from the start. When I asked them to scrape a bit of plant material out of a joint—a quick two-minute job—they got defensive and wanted £50 extra! The whole job took just 30 minutes, and when I pressed them on the costs, they claimed that a lot of the price was due to material expenses. However, all they used was some sealant, a few bands to cover the joint, and gas for the torch. They even complained about the diesel cost to get the materials, which is absurd. Even if the materials somehow cost £250 (they did not), charging £125 an hour each for labor is outrageous. For a job that only took half an hour, that’s a staggering £250 per hour!"
Trader reply: "We are disappointment to have received your review. The quotation was agreed and accepted prior to the commencement of any work. The job was completed to our high standards, and you seemed to be happy. Afterwards you queried our prices, but this was agreed up front. We went out obtain all materials, Carried out all works and removed all rubbish afterwards. "After storm damage we needed a fast flat roof repair. After the first phone call with JP Roofing & Home Improvements we felt confident the job would be done quickly and to a good standard. Only a few days later the job was completed a bit earlier then expected (a very positive outcome) and we're very happy with the price, quality and way the job was completed. Highly recommend!"
