We are a family run business, that provide gas and heating requirements to our customers in Chelmsford and surrounding areas. Our services include: domestic and commercial gas Installations breakdowns & servicing, we also offer a commercial catering installation and repair service.
We carry a large amount of stock, so many boilers can be fixed on the first visit.
Our engineers are fully qualified in accordance with the Gas Safe Register and always work to best practices, giving you the peace of mind that whoever is working in your home or business is fully qualified to be carrying out the work to the highest of standards.

"Our Veismann boiler was installed by Chelmsford Gas 9 years ago, and they have serviced it annually since then. They are always polite and efficient. We have no hesitation in recommending their services."

"Chelmsford Gas has been servicing our Viessman boiler since 2017 when it was first installed by Chelmsford Gas. We have consistently had excellent service from them. Recently the boiler needed both a new fan and a new heat exchange. The engineer, Bam, took a great deal of trouble to fit both parts: the overtight bolt on the broken fan first had to be drilled off which took ages and considerable effort. Then the engineer, Bam, showed us the extent of the limescale on the old heat exchange plate. Finally, He showed us how to top up the pressure on the boiler to avoid expensive call outs. We thoroughly recommend this company for its high standard of work and excellent engineers. Thank you Chelmsford Gas."

"We used CGS to install our new boiler and they have now completed two annual services. The guys are always friendly, polite, efficient and leave the area as clean and tidy as they found it. I will happily recommend them to my friends and family and will continue to use their services"

"Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and workmanship from this company. They have serviced my boiler twice now and immediately after each service the boiler stopped working. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend this company and will never use them again. Last year, following a routine service, the engineer left a condensation valve open, which resulted in a leak that caused water damage in my kitchen. This year, within just a few hours of servicing my boiler, it stopped working and displayed an error code. When they returned I was told that the PCB needed replacing at a cost of nearly £1,000. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion. That engineer quickly identified that the issue was not the PCB, but simply a faulty gas valve, which he replaced without issue and not at a cost of £1000."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback, it’s genuinely important to us. We value all customer comments, as providing a high standard of service is always our priority. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and would like to clarify a few points. Last year’s condensate issue related to a loose plastic connection commonly found on certain Worcester Bosch installations. We returned promptly and resolved it at the time. The separate review referenced involved pipework boxed in too tightly, which was dislodged when repositioned, this was also rectified immediately. On the recent visit, the boiler was serviced in line with manufacturer guidelines and was operating correctly when we left. Electronic components can occasionally fail coincidentally after power has been isolated and restored, this does not mean the service caused the issue. When we returned, diagnostic checks indicated a PCB fault based on the error codes present at the time and a quotation was provided. No repair was carried out by us, and the boiler was subsequently repaired by another engineer. If a component is ever misdiagnosed, we would of course not charge for an incorrect part. We always aim to be transparent and fair, and we’re happy to discuss any concerns further"
