Brick Surgeon is a builders and bricklayers with over 35 years' experience in the building and construction industry. My name is Paul Christopher Smith, born and raised in London I inherited the restoration company from my father. The company has been handed down through generations and we specialise in repointing and façade restoration as well as other types of building works.

We know that investing in property improvements, conversions and new builds is a significant investment for our customers and we pride ourselves on our reputation for providing a trustworthy and efficient service to our customers.

Bricklaying is a craft and our friendly, experienced team members continually strive for excellence using both traditional and modern techniques to achieve an outstanding finish. Each job we take on is backed by our guarantee, and we are fully insured, offering you peace of mind while we work to bring history back to life.

At Brick Surgeon we enjoy restoring old properties and bringing them back to their former glory, from using all heritage methods on Victorian and Edwardian properties to using Lime to help with the breathing ability and airflow.

Our bricklayers take the time to understand their clients’ needs and budget before embarking on any job. They apply their extensive experience in bricklaying and masonry, aiming to exceed customers’ expectations and achieve a high quality finish designed to last for generations.     Mark - Image 1 "I hired Paul to repoint the back wall of my house, fill and paint the window rebates, after water ingress during rain. He engaged quickly coming round the next day personally to look at the job. He understood the constraints of living in a conservation area, we agreed the work, the price. and he provided a quote the same day. Delays with scaffolding meant that work was delayed, but Paul kept in touch to let me know what was happening, even if the news wasn't good. The work was mostly done by one person, with a few days at the start and end where several of the team turned up, the final bits were finished off by Paul. During the work there were a couple of days when no one arrived and there was no contact but that was the only negative. Everyone I met from the team were very well behaved and professional. The work was done to a very high standard, and has been cleaned up. Paul was attentive throughout keeping me up to date with progress, with the rare exception noted above."

    "I recently hired Brick Surgeon for a repointing job on my home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From the initial consultation to the final clean-up, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and made sure to protect surrounding areas from dust and debris. The craftsmanship was exceptional, with the brickwork now looking as good as new. They matched the mortar perfectly to the existing brick, which made the repairs blend seamlessly. The communication was clear and responsive, and they were always happy to explain what they were doing.
