NGCL - National Guild of Certified Locksmiths

The National Guild of Certified Locksmiths (NGCL) is dedicated to providing Locksmith Engineers with a worthwhile, fully supported training and operating platform from which to operate their business, in turn providing customers with nationwide coverage of qualified, expert, Locksmith Engineers to deliver fully warrantied solutions to their needs.

The NGCL is a non-profit organisation founded by Chris Hodges, a classically trained Locksmith with over 35 years’ experience working within the industry as a full-time Locksmith who became one of the main driving forces behind creating one of the UK’s largest emergency Locksmith providers and Locksmith training centres. Having latterly dedicated his time to Locksmith training as a Lead Trainer, Chris trained many hundreds of current Locksmiths successfully operating in the United Kingdom, however he has remained very aware of the on-going lack of support our industry receives from both the Government and recognised Standards, leaving the British Locksmith industry completely unregulated.

By creating the NGCL, Chris’s vision is to share his many years of experience with other Locksmiths and build a community of Locksmith Engineers who are able to benefit from a collective knowledge and a recognised Guild delivering a reputable and professional Locksmith service to the public.

Centrally run by a dedicated team of industry specialists, the NGCL is solely focused on ensuring every NGCL member benefits from a wide range of daily support from our experienced team in addition to the wider membership collective. Our member’s shared vision ensures we both set, and maintain, the highest Standards of operation to the benefit of the wider industry and our customers, whilst also benefiting from the collective knowledge from the NGCL’s fast growing community of Locksmith Engineers.
