I run a multi-trade business in London and have had great trouble in finding a successful way to advertise my company, so that it can expand.My customers are my lifeline, and I only expect the best for them, so I was pleasantly surprised when David Wells from Trustatrader rang and told me about their website.

I decided that with nothing to lose, straightaway I would advertise in three categories - electrical, handyman, and fencing.Trustatrader.com contacted all my references and the trade body we are electrically registered with, to check our qualifications. I was pleased they were so thorough.

My customers also appreciate us being registered with a competent company that put the customers first. They are a safety net that today's consumers really needs.

As for whether Trustatrader.com have worked for my company the answer is most definitely YES. The extra business they created for me payed off my membership to all three categories in my first month and my whole business is benefiting.

For the past two months I have been a directory member of Trustatrader and quite frankly am amazed at their positive proactive approach to business.

They state that their aim is to be the top directory for reputable tradesmen, but it certainly doesn't stop there. Not only do they investigate a future tradesmans qualifications, they also talk to past customers to ascertain their customer care and service qualities.

This vetting appears to sort out the cowboys from the genuine applicants, which is reflected in the extremely high customer satisfaction ratings. Not only do Trustatrader do all the above but the added bonus for me is the extra work potential we tradesmen gain not only from the trustatrader recommendations, but also if one of us falls sick we just contact them and they find a local replacement.

The Trustatrader concept which to me is quite novel and is certainly worth being in their directory. I've met both the managing directors who call a spade a spade, have no airs or graces and in my opinion it is this down to earth realistic approach to business that makes all the difference. They are just as concerned about their directory members customers satisfaction as they are their directory members and they certainly work hard for both.

On initial contact I found it very easy to relate to their representative Amanda with her down to earth approach. She explained the ins and outs of Trustatrader professionally without the usual pushy sales talk which was a refreshing change.

I could not believe the value for money package. We now have a brilliant web site very quickly and tastefully put together - thanks to Martin.

Another strong point about trustatrader is if you need to contact them there is always someone available to chat with. In fact Amanda has rung me on several occasions to see how things are progressing.

I would thoroughly recommend being a member of "Trust a Trader" to any small business in the building trade. They only take on reliable, trustworthy tradesman so their website customers can feel confident that you are not a "cowboy".

We recently took part in one of their community projects, which was good fun and an excellent way to promote our business and theirs. The whole event was well publicised and promoted on local radio.
