My name is Andy, as A J Hutchison Painters & Decorators I have been established and continuously operating for over 39 years. The experience, knowledge and craft of the trade that I have gained over such a time counts for a lot I think.
As well as being a 16th year member of trustatrader.com, I am also listed by threebestrated.co.uk for several consecutive years as one of Luton's three best painters & decorators 2022 after going through a 50 point inspection.
I operate throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Handling all aspects of interior Painting and Decorating, from a spruce up to the full monty ! No job is too large or too small, too basic or too complex/intricate. All my work is personally guaranteed.
I take great pride in the professional, friendly service that I provide and guarantee an unsurpassed quality of service and workmanship for every job.
With Susan Hopwood, an interior design/colour scheming wizard to hand, who herself has over 20 years experience in the decorating/design business, Susan and myself are able to help you take your initial idea through to its fruition.
Helpful advice is always available as I am happy to provide free quotes and estimates. I try my best to estimate accurately to encompass all likely eventualities so you will not have to pay any more than my given estimate for your work, ie no hidden surprises. Sometimes it may look that I am expensive in my pricing (I just need to cover all bases) but trust in me, If your job does not take as long as I had estimated it to, or there is any saving in the cost of materials (always charged at cost price) I will pass on any saving to you by reducing my final bill accordingly (unlike all the others) !

"Andy is such a great decorator- he has been doing our (difficult to manage) exterior woodwork for years now: when we first moved into the property a number of contractors told us our wooden garage door was in need of replacement: Andy brought it back to life and, 6 years on with his careful annual attention, it’s still going strong! Clean worker and very punctual, no bother at all to have around. Thanks Andy."

Claire - Image 1 "It’s the second time Andy has done a job for us and once again we were delighted with the quality of his work. The room he painted was very dark and needed quite a bit of care to prepare the walls, radiator, door, ceiling and skirting for painting. He did a fantastic job and was very polite, communicative and reliable. I would recommend him 100%."
